THIS IS HOW TO WALLPAPER WITH PANTHER!
Have you spotted our gorgeous panther wallpaper yet? For the daredevils among us and those with wild plans, the born stylist, or even you who think: I love it, I'll go crazy! We can tell you: a panther on the wall is always a good idea! Style it with the right accessories (be sure to check out our other super cute interior items too ), and by wallpapering just one simple wall, you can add so much character and flair to a room.
We'll start easy with the preparations: because, as you know, a good start is half the battle. Wipe down the area you're going to wallpaper thoroughly with a cloth to ensure it's completely free of dirt and grease. It's best to also touch up any imperfections so your wallpaper will fit perfectly! Here's what you'll need:
- Wallpaper paste (for a heavy high-quality vinyl)
- Roller and tray
- Bucket
- Paint brush
- Steel ruler
- Plumb line (Spirit level is easiest)
- Wallpaper sponge
- Pencil
- Hobby knife
- Wallpaper roller
After you've quickly popped to the hardware store with your list, rummaged through the shed, or rung the doorbell of that handy neighbor, we can get started on the real work!
STEP 1: Measure the height of your wall and cut the wallpaper into strips of the same height plus 5 cm. Important: Remember to ensure the pattern continues or runs in the same direction.
STEP 2: Apply the adhesive to the clean wall and begin applying the first strip in the left corner. Use a spirit level to ensure the first strip hangs perfectly straight. This will make it much easier to apply the remaining wallpaper strips straight against it.
STEP 3: Carefully remove any air bubbles to ensure the wallpaper adheres securely to the wall. Then apply the adhesive for the next strip, applying it as precisely and evenly as possible so that the seams are no longer visible. Continue this process until you've covered the entire wall with your beautiful panther!
STEP 4: It's starting to look like something! Now smooth each strip from the center out to the sides. Do you see any adhesive residue? Remove it immediately with clean water and a sponge.
STEP 5: Woohoo, you're almost there... Cut the tops and bottoms of the wallpaper nice and straight using a steel ruler and a sharp knife.
STEP 6: Pour yourself a nice drink, put your feet up, and give yourself a pat on the back. Now enjoy your beautifully created view!
